Medicine can be a very rewarding and challenging profession. Students choosing medicine as their future career path have to be focused. It is a very long path to success and requires a lot of hard work, constantly studying and being aware of new medical research.
Most of the high schools provide internships to their students, which helps them in gaining hands-on experience in their field. Medical Internships are very important for students because students invest so much time and resources in their studies which requires a positive result.
There are many internships available for students who want to commit to Pre-Medical track. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has several hands-on, short-term programs for middle and high school students that offer unique experiences in public health.
Here are some of the best Medical Internships for high school students.

There are many universities which are offering Pre-medical programs, designed to meet the basic requirements for medical schools.
The AUSOMA Pre-med curriculum is highly integrative and clinical-based. It also requires students to carefully research before applying for the Pre-med program. AUSOMA wants students to become skillful, compassionate and dutiful physicians.
AUSOMA has all the facilities students need, which includes state-of-the art campus, advanced laboratories and experienced faculty. AUSOMA also provides rotation in Atlanta GA, Houston & Austin TX, Phoenix AZ, Las Vegas NV, Chicago IL, Orlando FL and Baltimore MD.
Each rotation is 6 – 12 weeks long and it makes candidates stand out during application and interviews for residency matching. The clinic rotations will not not only impact hands-on experience but will also expose rotating students to the workings of the American healthcare system.
Medical Internships are critical to medical students. They are encouraged to apply for internships programs in the USA as well as in Aruba. Students can also volunteer in different programs and gain hands-on experience. Medicine is a very long program and it requires commitment. Assuming that they entered college at age 18, this means that they begin their solo careers between the ages of 29 and 34. Therefore, if he or she retires at the age of 65, the average length of a physician’s career is between 31 and 36 years.
