Mission
The mission of AUSOMA is to provide high-quality cost-conscious medical education with cutting-edge technology and a student-friendly leaming environment. It aims to provide an educational curriculum to meet the demands of a changing market with ever-increasing competitiveness. The AUSOMA-trained graduate shall possess sharpened interpersonal clinical-oriented communication skills, understand the importance of independence as well as interdependence, and be able to integrate acquired pieces of knowledge into an overall whole. He/she shall be able to solve and deal with patient problems in an efficient manner.

American University School of Medicine Aruba (AUSOMA) is a chartered and licensed medical school located in the Caribbean Islands. We provide quality education and programs that help you become a medical doctor in the U.S. and abroad.
Our administration and faculty provide a positive learning experience for all students. We offer high-yield programs designed to provide you with a hands-on approach to practicing medicine. Small class sizes allow us to give each student the attention needed in their coursework, board exam preparation, residency, and clinical placements.

Accreditation Status
The American University School of Medicine Aruba (AUSOMA) was chartered in November 2011 and is currently recognized by the Aruba Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Education Commission on Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG), Medical Council of Canada, and Medical Council of India. AUSOMA is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMs) which allows our graduates to be eligible for licensure in most countries around the world. AUSOMA has submitted applications for obtaining accreditation through both CAAM-HP and ACCM (both WFME-recognized).
